An off-hand translation as on 13th Dec, ' 05 would be....
Erayumanthurai, mother so sweet
Thou art youthful as the nature
Thou art the joy of the living
And the dead have lost thee.
Thamiraparani washes thy feet
Arabian Sea combs thy hair
The sea breeze embraces thee ever
That's thy beauty so enthralling.
Thy young and energetic fishermen
And thy fish-eyed and beautiful maidens
Make love one another and enjoy together
In thy sun baked shores so charming

Birthdays are
special days
To remember the loved ones
And the respected ones too.
You are both respected and loved.
Hence, all the more reason
To remember you and pray for you.
Every person is God’s gift to the world,
Especially the one called to be a man of God.
You are God’s gift to the church of Trivandrum.
Remain a cherished gift always
By being close to God
And to His people.
God will keep you close to His heart
And make you like unto Him
To love and serve His people.

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY!
You are always thought of,
especially on this day of your birth.
You are precious before God
and try to be so before His people.
You are His gift to His children
and so you be always.
Have a wonderful day today
and all days of your life.
May God bless you this day
and all the days to come.
May He bless your mother,
give eternal rest to your father
guide your brothers and sisters
and their families always.

Parents are
said to be
Gods seen here and now!
After parents and teachers only
Come even God almighty!
No temple excels one’s mother
Nor any prayer above one’s father
This is how we were taught
To honor our parents best.
Honoring one’s father is
Atonement for his sins.
Glorifying one’s mother is
Like laying up treasures.
Man leaves his father and mother
And cleaves to his wife.
But still he is always
Their child so tender.
What then about a celibate?
For him they are everything.
They are his strength and comfort
Through their prayers always.
As priests, we witness
Many a deaths
Also conduct
Many a funerals!
But can one ever take the death
Of his parents like that?
Can one ever bury them
Before burying his emotions first?
A mother is most happy to hear:
‘Her son is great indeed.’
A father to hear: ‘What feat
Has he done to beget such a son!’
This great father William P. Graham
Must indeed be a blessed father
To have begotten children
Like Monsignor Bill Graham.
Sufferings forced him
`Leave school for work
Which he completed
At the age of fifty six!
A responsible father always
Reared a sweet family of four kids
Was mother too to his children
After his beloved wife’s death!
Is leaving us today
For the eternal rest
Let us keep him alive
By living his values best!

Dear Friends,
The year 2007 is coming to a close…
Here, I would like to acknowledge
Your prayers and presence
That made a difference in my life.
But for you, my life would have been
Poorer still…
THANKS for everything
You had been in my life.
Now another Year of Grace is dawning
Let us welcome it with hope and joy
To bring Love, Joy and Peace
To all of us and to this Global village!
Let Jesus who was born in a manger
Be really born in each one of us
So that we can be ‘another Christ’
To make this world God’s Kingdom!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Can't bear
the death of acquaintances...
It could be easy
when philosophized
cruel, when it happens!
Am shattered
repeatedly pricked
by the thorns of memories.
None should go ahead
whom i have beholden
That is my prayer...
